La Rochelle is a wonderful place to start from as you choose from gentle sailing around the local area to the Islands, to sailing north to Ile d'Yeu and then into South Brittany which has a rich selection of harbours, to sailing to Spain. Why not sail up the famous Charente to Rochefort where the historic town is full of naval history.
